In The Hague's Energiekwartier district, we transformed a three-story new build into a seamless living and working environment. Moving beyond the standard floor plan, we completely reimagined the space to fulfill the owners' vision for a dual-purpose home. The ground floor now houses a product and interior design studio that can be elegantly separated from the private living areas, creating a harmonious balance between professional and personal life. Upstairs, a key modification introduced a spacious bathroom bathed in natural light, enhancing both comfort and functionality. Throughout the home, we implemented thoughtful storage solutions crafted in ash and oak veneer. The original standard doors were replaced with wooden floor-to-ceiling alternatives, visually expanding the height of each space and creating a more open atmosphere. The living room's centerpiece is a custom-designed kitchen featuring a sleek stainless steel countertop and sophisticated dark grey oak veneer. Connecting all floors is a meticulously designed solid oak staircase that serves as the home's central feature, beautifully complementing the raw character of the unfinished concrete walls and ceilings.
